The Art & Science of Modern Wine Walls

A Technical Guide to Wine Peg Racking Systems

1

Select Your Configuration & Finish

Bottle Depth: Balancing Display & Density

Single-Deep

Maximum visual impact with a slim, floating profile. Ideal for narrow spaces.

Double-Deep

A perfect balance of increased storage capacity and label-forward display.

Triple-Deep

Maximum storage density for extensive collections, tripling capacity on the same wall space.

Premium Material Finishes

Brushed Aluminum

Offers a timeless, luxurious sheen that complements soft, dramatic lighting.

Matte Black

Provides a sharp, modern edge that creates bold contrast against any backdrop.

2

Engineer the Support Wall

Calculate the "Wet Weight"

"Wet Weight" is the total load of your racking system *plus* all the wine bottles. You must ensure your wall can support this.

1 Bottle
3 LBS

Example: 100 Bottles require ~300 LBS of support.

Essential Structural Requirement

3/4" PLYWOOD BACKING
DRYWALL
STUD STUD STUD

Mounting pegs directly into drywall is unsafe. A minimum 3/4-inch plywood backer board installed between the studs is critical for a secure, long-lasting display.

3

Determine Your Cooling Needs

Passive Cooling

Relies on a naturally cool and stable environment, like a basement, with no mechanical refrigeration. Best for short-term storage or less temperature-sensitive wines.

Active Cooling

Uses a dedicated refrigeration unit to maintain precise temperature and humidity. Essential for long-term aging, valuable collections, and glass-enclosed displays.
